Surgical Dentistry

Amanda is a registered specialist in Surgical Dentistry, a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and a practicing Dental Surgeon.

Amanda trained as a Dentist at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and qualified in 1990.  She spent the next six years working within hospital Oral Surgery Departments attaining the fellowship in Dental Surgery then a year as a visiting professor at the university of Toronto, Canada, studying dental implantology at one of the world leading centres.

Surgical Dentistry encompasses all aspects of oral
surgery ranging from;

  • The placement of dental implant
  • Removal of wisdom teeth
  • Broken or decayed teeth
  • Routine extractions
  • Removal of lumps & bumps from within the mouth/lips

Also, surgery related to periodontology (gum treatment), and restorative dentistry, crowns, bridges and advanced root treatment (apicectomy).
